Massive Full-Color Screen in a More Compact Package

The X4 is SCT Performance's giant leap into the future of vehicle PCM tuning and custom tuning. The SCT X4 replaced the venerable, but aging SCT X-Cal 3 and SF3 handheld tuners and offers up a massive improvement in both ergonomics, speed, versatility, and tuning capability all in one awesome device. The SCT X4 tuner has a massive 2.6" x 5.5" full-color LCD screen that makes the X4's tuning, vehicle info, datalogging, and other menus extremely easy to read and navigate. Despite the larger and more advanced screen, the X4 is actually more compact than the outgoing SCT SF3 and X-Cal 3, making it easier to store and handle during tuning or maintenance. The X4 also does away with the massive OBD-II cable that the SF3 and X-Cal 3 needed to lunk around, and replaces it with a smaller and more unassuming cable with an new port on the device itself that allows you to unplug the cable completely.

 

Features Built-In WiFi and the Ability to Hold 10 Custom Tunes

The larger screen is paired with a revised control interface with new buttons that are more responsive, easier to use, and less clunky than SCT's older tuners. By far the most impressive feature of the X4 is it's built-in WiFi functionality that allows it to connect wirelessly with your home PC to download new tunes, firmware, and other software without the hassles of using a USB cord. The X4 even has two analog ports that allow you to hook up expandable probes and sensors to read data and PIDs that aren't output through your vehicle's OBD-II port. The X4 can display a wide variety of different gauges and other performance information and even automatically rotates with the device's orientation which makes it a more than adequate vehicle monitor, especially when combined with SCT's additional suction cup mount or other vehicle map. The X4 is the last tuning device that your vehicle will ever need and will take custom tuning to a whole other level.

X4 Quick Start Guide

 

Lund Racing Custom Tunes are created specific to your vehicle based on your exact modifications. This makes our tuning much more than just a typical "canned" tune. Lund Racing has been setting the standard in Ford tuning for many years in the past, and for many years to come. Make sure your tune is a Lund Tune.

Tuning revisions for minor modifications are free of charge up to three months after you’ve received your initial tune. The countdown starts from the time you receive the tune(s) which may be up to 7-10 business days following your order. Following that period, cost to renew for an additional three months of revisions is $50.

Changes to your air intake, throttle body, exhaust, gears, etc. are all considered minor modifications. If you need a tune revision, please click the link to the support page on our website. (http://support.lundracing.com) You must sign up, and submit a request with your original order number from wherever you purchased the original tune. You are going to need to provide us the PCM Code, Flasher Serial Number, and full modification list. Lastly, we will need you to let us know what you have changed on the car so that we can make the correct tuning revisions for your modifications.

For customers changing to a different intake manifold, all aftermarket manifolds for 11-17 incur an additional $100 fee.

Tuning revisions for major modifications will require a remote tuning session. You can learn more about the remote tuning session here. The remote session will carry a fee of $400 if you have already purchased a tune directly from Lund Racing, or from one of our dealers. Additional remote sessions within three months of the original remote session purchase carry a fee of $200. Outside of three months of the original purchase, remote sessions will cost $400. Remote session customers who require a revision for minor modifications may buy back into a three month revision period for the standard $50 rate.

Below is a list of some of the major modifications that usually require a remote tuning session. Ultimately, depending on what you change on the car, we decide at our discretion if the modifications will require a full remote tuning session or not. We handle this on a case by case basis.

  •          Switching fuels (Ex. 93 octane to E85)
  •          Adding/changing Supercharger or Turbo
  •          Adding Nitrous
  •          Internal engine work (Heads, cam, etc.)
  •          Changing injectors

For individuals who have purchased a vehicle previously tuned by us: We will offer tuning support within our guidelines using the tuning device we wrote the original tune for. Please contact us before purchasing anything.

The Safety and Performance Review is included with the purchase of a mail order tune or datalog review/tune revision for up to 3 months after date of receiving the tune(s). This gives our customers peace of mind if they have any doubts about the way their car is performing, and can also help diagnose issues possibly being caused by something mechanical or install related.

You are going to need to provide the PCM Code, Tuning Device Serial Number, and full modification list. We will reply with what we need datalogged exactly.
